Hommage au Pape François et action de grâce

Tribute to Pope Francis

Chers amis,

En union avec l’ensemble de la communauté catholique internationale, nous prions pour le Pape François.

Il a encouragé la mission des organisations internationales d’inspiration catholique auprès des institutions internationales, en particulier lorsqu’il en a reçu les représentants en audience à Rome en 2019.

Cette mission est celle du CCIC auprès de l’UNESCO depuis sa création.

Nous participons de ce fait au Forum international des OING d’inspiration catholique et vous partageons cet hommage collectif.

Rendons grâce à Dieu pour le don qu’il nous a fait d’un pasteur grave et joyeux, homme d’ouverture et de dialogue, soucieux des « pauvres de Dieu ».

Prions aussi pour les cardinaux qui vont se réunir en conclave afin de trouver un digne successeur à François pour poursuivre le chemin sur lequel il a engagé l’Eglise.

In union with the entire international Catholic community, we pray for Pope Francis.

He has encouraged the mission of Catholic-inspired international organisations across international institutions, particularly when he received their representatives in audience in Rome in 2019.

This has been the CCIC’s mission at UNESCO since its creation.

This is why we are taking part in the International Forum of Catholic INGOs and are sharing this collective tribute with you.

Let us give thanks to God for the gift he has given us of a serious and joyful pastor, a man of openness and dialogue, concerned for “God’s poor.”

Let us also pray for the cardinals who will be meeting in conclave to find a worthy successor to Francis to continue the path he has set the Church on.
